Vintage Hamadan medallion Hand-Knotted Wool Runner

A richly patterned Hamadan runner woven on a deep navy-blue field, where vivid red medallion frame a smaller camel-toned hexagonal medallion at the centre. The surrounding field is densely populated with angular blossoms, hooked forms and compact tribal devices in burgundy, rust, brown, muted blue and small ivory highlights. A narrow brown geometric border contains the energetic design while preserving its elongated, village-woven rhythm. The soft wool pile and dark, layered palette make it particularly effective in a hallway, library or entryway needing warmth and definition.

Hand-knotted using traditional techniques.
