Semi-Antique Linked-Medallion Runner Rug, Red & Salmon Pink10' 2" x 3' 6" (311 x 106 cm)
Zanjan - One-of-a-kind - HandmadeSemi-Antique Zanjan Linked-Medallion Hand-Knotted Wool Runner
A distinctive Zanjan runner with three connected, stepped medallions rendered in a dusky plum-brown tone over a vivid red field. Small rosettes, hooked devices and angular village motifs are spaced around the central chain, while muted purple-brown end panels soften the transition into the border. The broad salmon-pink border is especially memorable, filled with repeating diamond and cross-like forms in burgundy, charcoal, brown and subtle green. Its low-soft wool pile and unusual combination of red, plum and salmon give this semi-antique runner a warm, collected character.
Hand-knotted using traditional techniques.
Professionally triple deep washed and carefully restored entirely by hand using traditional methods, preserving the rug’s authentic character.
