Fine Vintage Gharajeh Heriz Eleven Geometric Medallions Hand-Knotted Wool Runner

A finely woven Gharajeh–Heriz runner with a long sequence of eleven geometric medallions travelling through a saturated red field. The medallions alternate between ivory-framed forms and deep green geometric compartments, each surrounded by exceptionally dense angular village motifs. Slim ivory side borders edged in red create a crisp visual frame, while touches of brown, black, muted blue and soft green add dimension without interrupting the rug’s strong red character. Its precise drawing, soft wool pile and generous twelve-and-a-half-foot length make it an impressive choice for a long hallway or gallery-like passage.

Hand-knotted using traditional techniques.
