Collectible Semi-Antique Alamdar Malayer Hand-Knotted Long Runner

A commanding, nearly eighteen-foot Alamdar Malayer runner with a saturated deep navy-blue field. A continuous chain of small diamonds travels through the centre, bordered by repeating floral compartments and angular vine work in glowing red, rust and orange. Layered red borders carry stylized blossoms and scrolling village motifs, giving the exceptionally long composition both rhythm and architectural definition. The rare Alamdar origin, collectible scale, soft wool pile and dramatic dark-ground palette make this a statement piece for an extended hallway, gallery or grand passage.

Hand-knotted using traditional techniques.

Professionally triple deep washed and carefully restored entirely by hand using traditional methods, preserving the rug’s authentic character.
