An elongated antique Kashan, hand-knotted over 80 years ago and settled into a soft, weathered palette of rust, faded rose, and dusty orange. The field is built from tight, repeating diamond lattice work that shifts gradually into narrow striped bands toward one end — a layout that gives the rug a quiet, almost gradient-like rhythm from head to foot. A slate-blue border with a delicate floral vine frames the piece, closing with a small floral guard stripe just before the fringe.

Decades of use have worn the pile low in places and softened the original dye saturation — the kind of natural fading that can't be replicated and is part of what makes an antique piece read as genuinely old rather than artificially aged. Its long, narrow proportions make it a distinctive anchor for oversized rooms, dining spaces, or extended layouts where a shorter rug wouldn't reach.
