Woven flat by Lori nomads in the Shiraz region, this kilim carries the bold, graphic language their tribe is known for: stacked diamond medallions in warm red and hot pink against a natural wool ground, framed by a tight geometric border. There's no pile here — it's a true flatweave, hand-spun wool on a cotton foundation, dyed with natural pigments that have quietly mellowed over the roughly 50 years since it was made.

The slight asymmetries in the medallions and the soft color drift across the field aren't flaws — they're what tells you a person, not a machine, made this. Kilims like this one were built for daily use in nomadic households, which is part of why the weave still holds up firm and flat today.
