Antique Medallion Runner Rug, Faded Red10' 9" x 2' 9" (327 x 83 cm)
Gharajeh Heriz - One-of-a-kind - HandmadeAntique Gharajeh Heriz Multi-Medallion Hand-Knotted Wool Runner
An evocative antique Gharajeh–Heriz runner with a long procession of individually drawn geometric medallions unfolding across a softly faded red and salmon field. Ivory cruciform motifs alternate with earthy brown and muted blue medallions, while angular village details fill the spaces between them. A deep brown geometric border, punctuated with powder-blue rosettes and small golden accents, gives the narrow composition a strong architectural frame. The worn low pile and areas of natural fading reveal the rug’s age honestly, giving it the time-softened character prized in authentic antique runners.
Hand-knotted using traditional techniques.
Professionally triple deep washed and carefully restored entirely by hand using traditional methods, preserving its authentic antique character.
